  • User-friendly operability and superior flexibility in installation and projection
Quick start & Direct Power Off

Your projector is setup and ready to display your presentation about 4 seconds after powering on, with the NEC Quick Start function.
The Quick Power Off function stops the cooling fan immediately after turning off the power to the projector, which makes it possible to remove the projector quickly. For a rapid shut down, the projector can be turned off without powering off the projector using the Direct Power Off function and a power strip equipped with a switch and breaker.

  • Carbon meter for visualizing ecology

The projector employs the Carbon Meter indicating the reduced amount of CO2 emissions in Eco Mode. Visually confirm the numerical value indicating the reduction in CO2 emissions in comparison with Normal Mode operation.

  • Security function

By using passwords, the projector cannot be used by unauthorized persons. It is impossible to project an image unless the proper password is entered. Since the main unit has a security chain opening, unauthorized removal of the projector is prevented by inserting the security cable or wire commercially available into the opening.

The built-in 7W monaural speaker on the main unit outputs audio from computer, video, and S-video inputs.

Multiple input/output terminals include analogue RGB, DVI-I(digital), video, and S-video. By using the DVI-RGB adapter, analogue RGB signals can be connected from two computers.

The projector will automatically detect and correct vertical inclination and trapezoidal distortions. The angle is adjustable vertically within a range of about +/-30 degrees from the projected angle.

Without a screen, projected images are affected because of the colour of the wall or blackboard you are projecting on to. The built-in colour correction for projecting images on a coloured wall or blackboard in this projector means that the colour tones of the projected image is approximate to those that are projected on to a white screen. The following nine colour options are available : whiteboard, blackboard, blackboard (grey), light yellow, light green, light blue, sky blue, light rose, and pink.

Connect a LAN cable to the LAN port (RJ-45) on the main unit of the projector to control the projector from a remote PC via the network; for instance, use the PC to turn the power to the projector on and off or switch input signals.

The projector´s WXGA panel (1280 x 800) displays the same wide- format WXGA resolution images such as laptop computers and DVDs.

  • Virtual Remote Function

The included Virtual Remote Tool utility software allows to operate the power on/off or switch inputs on the projector from your PC by using the supplied VGA signal cable. The Easy Setup function is employed in addition to the ordinary Virtual Remote Tool. With this function, projector can be set up simply by following the instructions shown on the screen for easy setup.

1 : Effective pixels are more than 99.99%.
2 : Lamp life is defined as the average time span for the brightness of the lamp to be reduced by half, it dose not refer to the

4 : Compliance with ISO21118-2005. 5 : What is HDCP/HDCP technology?
HDCP is an acronym for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. High bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP)
is a system for preventing illegal copying of video data sent over a Digital Visual Interface (DVI). If you are unable to view
material via the DVI input, this does not necessarily mean the projector is not functioning properly. With the implementation
of HDCP, there may be cases in which certain content is protected with HDCP and might not be displayed due to the
decision/intention of the HDCP community (Digital Content Protection, LLC).

NEC offers compelling projection solutions to business and education sectors
  20th-May-2009

NEC Inda has unveiled two new LCD based multifunction projectors - NP600S & NP500WS. These projectors bring compelling features in form of ultra short distance projection that enables business setups and classrooms with limited space availability to attain vivid display. NP600S and NP500WS projectors are especially suited to Indian establishments for whom spacious meeting or conference rooms come at premium cost.

The projectors sport NEC's world-leading technological features including WXGA panel for wide-format images, wide array of input/output terminals and wall colour correction for vivid images projected directly on uneven surfaces such as walls or blackboards. They also come with Eco Mode that enables users to reduce projector noise while extending the life of the lamp - translating into low cost of ownership. Another green and noteworthy feature of the projectors is their Panel Crashed Air Cooling Technology that decrease heat outage up to 20% by optical components leading to lesser rotations of cooling fan and resulting in less power consumption and noise emission.

On this occasion, Sanjay Dhuria, Head - MMPG, NEC India said "With the launch of NEC's NP500WS & NP600S series projectors, we aim to strengthen Businesses & Educational institutions in their operations and enhance their efficiency with cutting edge technology and efficient projection solutions."
